The contribution of kinesio-taping in orthopaedic physiotherapy

In orthopaedic physiotherapy, kinesio-taping is a complementary treatment to the classical manipulations carried out during the session.

Kinesiotaping consists of placing elastic therapeutic bands on the weakest part of a muscle or muscle group in order to stimulate the function of the latter and/or to glue these bands to the painful area.

These bands act on the nervous system. They stabilize a joint, strengthen a muscle and inhibit pain.
